Jackson Dominic Cunningham 13 march 201205 July 2020Jackson was born on the 13th of March 2012 at Wythenshawe Hospital, weighing a whopping 9lb 3oz, which makes perfect sense because he absolutely loved food. He was in his element if he had an ice lolly in his hand. As he grew from being an adorable little baby into a fun-loving, boisterous little boy, he began to show his character. He was kind beyond belief, caring, funny, loving, and so much fun. He started nursery at Oldfield Brow School in Altrincham. He loved it and made so many friends. As he progressed through the school, he would regularly get certificates and Head Teacher Awards for being thoughtful, kind, and helpful to his fellow classmates. He would jump up every morning, excited to go to school to see his friends. Jackson was obsessed with the sea and everything in it. His absolute favourite were sharks. His teacher once told me, “I had to go home and Google all the sharks Jackson had mentioned to see if they existed,” and they did. He was blown away. When Jackson passed away, the school had a bench carved into the shape of a shark and placed it in the playground for all his friends to sit on and remember the fun memories they all shared. Just some of the things Jackson enjoyed doing: he loved football and everything Manchester City, bike rides with his dad and sister, Karis, wrestling (he would play for hours with all his wrestling figures), and going on long walks with his dog, Holly. He also loved playing football in the garden with Holly in goal. We reminisce and laugh about that a great deal, how Holly the Pomeranian was a better goalie than most of his friends! But his absolute favourite thing to do was play on his PlayStation, especially Minecraft and Fortnite. Born in England, he won seven Scotland under-21 international caps. He hailed from a footballing family; his father Eddie, uncle Frank and cousin Andy all represented Scotland. Gray was signed to Celtic as a schoolboy S-former in 1989 and followed the route of many on to the groundstaff at 16 in 1990. He played youth and reserve team football, and was released to play for Giffnock Park North AFC. He ended the 1991–92 season close to a first team call up and won a new two-year contract. The next season marked his debut with one appearance against Aberdeen in 1992–93 but a groin strain in October curtailed his 1992–93 season. In the 1993–94 season he asked for a loan move south of the border. He spent some time on loan with AFC Bournemouth in February before returning to more reserve team action. At the end of the season he went to Canada on the post-season tournament with the senior team. Out of contract at the start of the 1994–95 season, he was wanted by Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers and signing month-to-month deals. He eventually signed a new deal on 27 January 1995 with the stated intention of leaving if he did not get more first-team football. He had a reasonable run of games and was on the verge of the full-time first-team inclusion.[citation needed] In the 1995–96 season, he won starting appearances in the latter part of the season but an ankle ligament injury proved troubling and curtailed full involvement.
